The actions of Hamas against civilians are indefensible. But it is also fact that Netanyahu uses his own indefensible techniques to get an extreme reaction from Palestinian extremist groups, and then uses that as an excuse for cataclysmic Armageddon against all Palestinians. It is a pattern that has repeated over and over.

Who suffers most? Civilians on both sides.

The premier's policy of treating the terror group as a partner, at the expense of Abbas and Palestinian statehood, has resulted in wounds that will take Israel years to heal from

RT @eta_ny Partly due to interference from Sen. Schumer, Amtrak chose Alstom to build its new railcars. They are being delivered late, defective, and at twice the cost of their European counterparts. Transit agencies should always be allowed to pick the best bidder.

RT @airlineflyer Amtrak OIG report on Acela 2 is out. Alstom isn't even close to delivering anything. YIKES!

When driving is the best option -- lowest cost, most reliable and fastest -- for all trips, people drive for all trips. And ultimately, every trip on every mode -- including driving -- becomes worse.

When alternatives are better -- lower cost, faster and more reliable -- some people switch modes. And consequently all trips become better -- even driving!

Unfortunately there is no way to make other modes better without making driving worse. Carrots aren't enough. We also need to use sticks.

It should be obvious to everyone that when traveling a mile from your suburban home to the nearby shopping center, you *need* a vehicle like this.
