I had been looking into going to MagicCon Chicago. The announcements made at MC Vegas have soured me on doing it.

I expect Aetherdrift to be just as awful as Thunder Junction, and was willing to put that aside for the overall experience, but this makes two straight years where there’s only one set I care about (Bloomburrow & Tarkir). Makes it hard to get excited about anything Magic related when even a chaos draft would be mostly sets I dislike.

I love core sets and simpler magic, but refuse to ever pay money for a white bordered card. I’m avoiding MB2 because of them, and haven’t ordered any Foundations or signed up for the prerelease yet because I’m afraid they’ll be the showcase treatment.

The lack of information about Foundations has been weird.
