I am a a middle aged woman, visually impaired since birth but legally blind since 2017.

I am a study in contrast. I love both cats and dogs ()and wolves!). I love technology and nature.

I speak French and English and work in the IT field. I live in Canada with my girlfriend Suzie and our sweet black cat, Molly.

Hi!

So I have been using #MonaApp for less than a week and I already feel very comfortable with it. It is amazing and the remarkable work @MonaApp have done, specially regarding #VoiceOver accessibility can’t be praised enough.

It is very intuitive but I also want to give kudos and a big thanks for the awesome #MonaApp tutorial @JonathanMosen have done, as part of is #LivingBlindfully podcast.

I do have one question, if someone can help. I have some remeaning sight and while I use VoiceOver I like to use dark themes . I set my Mona application to a dark theme but I heard about some themes here that I would like to try. I see a lot of them in the #MonaThemes hashtags and it is apparently very easy to set them up but can’t find a link to do so. Am I missing something? Probably. And I will probably swat my forehead when I learn what. Lol

Thank you in advance and a great sunday to everyone.

Hi!

I just joined a few days ago and one of my first move was to search for you guys. I’m very glad #DoubleTap joined the fun!
A big welcome to both (or three?) of you!

Hi!
My name is Sonya and I am new, to this instance but also on mastodont. I’m a native French speaker who is still getting used to editing text with VoiceOver so please be indulgent. :)

I love technology. I’m a long time #Windows and #Apple iphone user who had to learn a lot of it anew when my already poor eyesight dropped a few years ago. But it’s ok, I love learning new tech stuff. I recently got a #Samsung Galaxy 6 Lite tablet to try my hand at #Android. So yeah, learning is fun. Hitting deadlock because of inaccessible apps or website is less fun tho. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all sunshine and roses adapting to the changes in vision but trying to keep an upbeat attitude.

I’m an avid podcast listener. Thanks to #LivingBlindfully and #Jonathan Mosen for pointing me to this instance and to the spectacular #MonaApp.
I used to be a bookworm and two years ago I started learning #Braille to be able to read again while listening to music. Hard to do while listening to an audio book. Lol

Well, that’s already long winded for a #introduction . I’m very pleased to be here and looking forward to know people.

May the Fourth be with you!
