I am a a middle aged woman, visually impaired since birth but legally blind since 2017.

I am a study in contrast. I love both cats and dogs ()and wolves!). I love technology and nature.

I speak French and English and work in the IT field. I live in Canada with my girlfriend Suzie and our sweet black cat, Molly.

@payown That’s awesome! Very smart idea. And that kind of work is very well suited for AI.

@rowdyamerican @podcast Hi!

Happy to report it is available in Canada now. I just downloaded it from the App Store.

@Ranger1138 Ooh that’s interesting. I’ll check out that game.
@TimDixon82 @podcast My thought exactly!

@JonathanMosen A few years ago, me and my partner ordered from two different restaurants and we wondered the same thing! Then both
drivers arrived at the same time!

Well… what happened? Exclamations of surprise followed by them calling each others by name and laughing about the timing and coincidence. Turn out they both worked at the same place a few years priors so knew each other.

@JonathanMosen Oh thank you! That really made me smile. As someone legally blind and hearing impaired I can relate with what you said. And oddly I now find myself thinking a bit more fondly about sweet and always so polite Siri. :)
Less fondly tho about Apple regarding their negligence . They are rich, they should get Siri the best audiologist ! After that many years of faithful service, she deserves the best AI hearing aids money can buy!
@lulu_bear Very good point. The. mona tutorial I listen to recommended writing a bio and an introduction,pinned to the profile. First thing I did! So for anyone new I recommend listening to the Mona tutorial@podcast@ livingblindfully.social . Very comprehensive and full of good tips.
@podcast @freedomscientific Very good news indeed!
@certdoctor That would be awesome! Very good idea.

Hi!

So I have been using #MonaApp for less than a week and I already feel very comfortable with it. It is amazing and the remarkable work @MonaApp have done, specially regarding #VoiceOver accessibility can’t be praised enough.

It is very intuitive but I also want to give kudos and a big thanks for the awesome #MonaApp tutorial @JonathanMosen have done, as part of is #LivingBlindfully podcast.

I do have one question, if someone can help. I have some remeaning sight and while I use VoiceOver I like to use dark themes . I set my Mona application to a dark theme but I heard about some themes here that I would like to try. I see a lot of them in the #MonaThemes hashtags and it is apparently very easy to set them up but can’t find a link to do so. Am I missing something? Probably. And I will probably swat my forehead when I learn what. Lol

Thank you in advance and a great sunday to everyone.
