Seth CotlarGet ready for the propaganda initiative in which Mastodon will be labeled a site for “groomers” and “pedophiles.” It’s the least creative messaging imaginable, but you know it’s only a matter of time before we hear it coming from Elon, Fox, Daily Wire, etc. FWIW, Human Events is a right wing rag with roots that stretch back to the Goldwater conservatism of the early 1960s. It was Reagan’s favorite source of information.
BrianKrebsSome interesting stuff I apparently didn't notice the first time in updates to AT&T's terms of service, which you agreed to by continuing to use AT&T. This language is designed to insulate AT&T from liability in the event someone SIM swaps your phone number and uses that to steal your identity, crypto, etc. There's quite a bit of ongoing litigation about this very subject.

Matt BlazeI appreciate all of John Mastodon’s visionary efforts, don’t get me wrong. But naming the system after himself like that kind of diminishes the contributions of the many other, already less visible, volunteers who built it.
