Hi there! I'm a clown (really, professionally) as well as a dabbler in many forms of repair and creation, (and some computer touching stuff sometimes).
I have ADHD and talk a fair amount about neurodivergence stuff.
I love getting to know people, but if we haven't interacted ( few or infrequent favorites don't really count, I don't get notifications on them, and I don't remember who posted things when I just favorite boosts ), please dm me before following to say hello and let me know why you'd like to follow :D

I've been resting my shoulder after it started telling me loudly that between installing insulation in the attic and doing my normal work in the gym, that I'd overdone it.

Yesterday I finally started to have some energy again, but told myself sternly "Now, don't go jumping into things too quickly and get yourself hurt again!" And decided to give it another week before I went back into the attic.

...

Today I needed to go investigate an attic situation. *sigh*

I did as little as possible, just checked it out, and I don't think I've done myself any harm, but it's still frustrating and feels a bit ironic.

Frustration of the moment in #thisOldClownHouse

I am losing faith in contractors doing things correctly and/or in ways that don't cost me more time and energy cleaning up after them than it would have taken to do the work myself.

But I have a problem that needs people to be on the outside of the 2 story building at roof level.

Which I don't have the safety equipment or experience to do.

*sigh*

WHY DO MINOR INJURIES TAKE SO LONG TO FREAKING *HEAL*???

I overwork my shoulder for like 2 days.

It takes me out of being able to do most of what I do for 2 weeks.

*grrrr*

...now I must stop typing because it hurts again.

I will be fine, please don't worry about me, I just needed to complain a bit.

Hi #MCAS folks, I got a Q:

I got my 2026 #hobonichi planner with its beautiful Junji Ito cover art set up but it needs a clear cover to hold up from wear and tear.

Most of the traditional covers include pthalates, and I'm wondering what other types of clear material I could use more safely?

At the request of some very wise friends, the clowns will be hosting a calm, sober space in tonight's #CircusInPlace video chat.

You're welcome with or without a camera.

Come say hello if you need something different than the default hoopla.

I'll post a link later tonight. Keep an eye on the hashtag for details.

You can make a big batch of caramelized onions and then freeze them in ice trays and then transfer them to a zippy and you can add good onions to things.

Your local library might have things you wouldn't guess, my system has 3d printers, a podcast studio, laser engravers, telescopes, take home crafts, movies, streaming services, archives of over 3000 newspapers from all over the country, free passes to the zoo and museums, free sewing classes and machines you can borrow, private meeting rooms etc. Having fun isn't hard when you have a library card.

You don't have to make a NY resolution. You can just commit to continue being. You'll succeed as long as you want to.

Got to play on my new toy for a while before my shoulder and a lack of sleep caught up with me.
Doing alright, just annoying to be in healing mode again

Still having a tough time with the shoulder, so continuing with https://socialgaff.whirling.top/ROMPWODS/RecoveryROMPWOD.pdf

Though today instead of unicycling I'm planning on playing with *this*!

It's a slackboard. A curved piece of wood that looks a bit like a snowboard, but from which one or two short slacklines can be strung. Having played with it just a little bit yesterday, I can say it's one of the most approachable balance toys I've ever encountered.

It was a Xmas gift from my mother, and she was *spot on* with it.

I haven't done the write up yet, but I'm definitely going to be putting it in the rotation for warm up play.

I know that it's bad form to announce something and immediately go to bed.. but I'm gonna do it anyway.

I got an Rss feed set up on my website!! :D

I have noticed, in some fandom spaces, people forgetting their nursery school lessons:
You have to speak nicely to the other children if you want them to be friends with you.
