An 84 year old guy stopped by to see if I'd take a cinnamon tree for the wood stove. On my bike, I followed his K-truck down the road a bit to his house to see a thick-trunked tree laid out and half sectioned already. At 84 he's secitioning 30kg or more of this trunk with chainsaws and old tools named after Cranes and Tonbi birds. He just wanted someone to get the sections onto the truck and take them. Cinnamon (camphor family) is hard to split so.. I got a workout. Lucky! #薪割り #SplittingWood

Jumbo Kodama in Miyakonojyo/Mimata. It's a great place to get boxes of fruit for events. After paying at the register you go to a corner where they open up the box, examine the fruit and replace any moldy specimens... It usually works out great, perfect,, Just not this rushed Saturday afternoon.. I ended up with a few moldy Mikans, and hope I didn't pass off any rotten fruit to kids as Santa.

Kabocha!! You're supposed to eat Squash for the shortest day冬至, Winter Solstice. After seeing a reel, a video, about how pumpkin seeds are good for chikens' guts I've been wanting to chop up all the squash insides for the chickens. They seem to like it. I 'm not sure if they can eat or digest the squash seeds whole so I try to chop, at least halve, as many seeds as possible before throwing the it all out into the yard...

Good reviews so far! They come out well thanks to the sugars, processed in Hyuga, somes from Hokkaido beets, some from AmamiOoshima canes. And the Hyotoko Mikan citrus juice... and uice from Yuzu or something citrus that was laying around the house... And the Natane Rapessed oil is probably helpful too.. And the Ceylon cinnamon along with the Malaysia cinnamon...
