Young people aged 16–21 are reminded to apply for a free mytravelpass to benefit from £1 bus fares when the pilot starts on 1 September. Single fares will cost just £1, with £3 day tickets offering unlimited travel on participating services. The mytravelpass must be shown to the driver as proof of age and can be applied for at the mytravelpass website. Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North
#Wales, Ken Skates, said the scheme will help young people across Wales access work, education and leisure more affordably. He urged those without a pass to apply in time. £15m will support the £1 fare for 16–21-year-olds over two financial years (2025–26 and 2026–27) as part of the Budget agreement with Welsh Lib Dem Leader Jane Dodds. An additional £7m will extend the scheme to children aged 5–15 from 3 November. Full details are available on the mytravelpass website.
