A question for my archaeology friends
When you find an important piece how do you record it’s position? Lat-Lon? And what about what level it was found? As in a 3D position. Thank you

If you only buy one audiobook, Kindle book, or Real book. You must get this one. It’s the best audiobook I have ever heard. #Buried by Professor Alice Roberts. #Archaeology #History #BestBook
If only it was that easy..

Children have always loved playing with #toys: a #Greek rattle in the shape of a boy riding on a #pig. Taranto, 3rd century BC.
Rattles such as this were used as toys, but the sound produced by the small pieces of clay or stones inside the animals was also intended to ward off any evil. Rattles have been found in children's graves, but were also used as gifts to the gods in sanctuaries.
