@504DR @luckytran Haven't believed CDC since when they obeyed Biden and dropped masking mandates right before Omicron hit. That probably killed 400K more people that could've been avoided.

The refusal to officially acknowledge SARS2 is fully an airborne disease really didn't help.

It's been a political theatre since TFG's first administration.

Wow. So not only were several bird flu studies left out of today’s CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, some data on bird flu briefly appeared in the online report and then was quickly removed.

The bird flu data removed from the CDC MMWR included crucial information about the risks of bird flu to people and pets. The data suggests an infected cat might have spread the virus to a human adolescent.

"In one household, an infected cat might have spread the virus to another cat and to a human adolescent, according to a copy of the data table obtained by The New York Times. The cat died four days after symptoms began. In a second household, an infected dairy farmworker appears to have been the first to show symptoms, and a cat then became ill two days later and died on the third day."

CDC Posts, Then Deletes, Data on Bird Flu Transmission Between Cats and People

The data, which appeared fleetingly online on Wednesday, confirmed transmission in two households. Scientists called on the agency to release the full report.

@beadsland Also we suspectod this might have happened with SARS2. Recalling infected deer.

Now we've still learned nothing, and we don't even do the minimal to prevent it.

@KimPerales @GreenFire It's still not clear who won as the situation evolved faster than the lagged reporting.

Currently reports I've seen is Colombia lost (trade deficit reasons) and it went to the ambassadors for further negotiations.

How Trump coerced Colombia to accept deportees by threatening US tariff war

Donald Trump threatened US tariffs on imports from Colombia after Bogota initially refused deportation flights.

@emsenn @beadsland Another round of "not again"!

Just can't trust this "United States".

The U.S. government questioning Native Americans' birthright citizenship isn’t just a bureaucratic issue—it’s a fundamental attack on Indigenous sovereignty. Native people are dual citizens: members of our sovereign nations first and foremost, with U.S. citizenship imposed on us in 1924 to erode that sovereignty. Now, the state is threatening to claw back even this imposed recognition, undermining treaty obligations and the legal frameworks that acknowledge our nations’ existence.

This is settler colonialism in action—using laws to erase and control. We’ve always existed as independent peoples, long before the U.S. imagined itself into being, and we’ll continue to exist regardless of what the settler state decides. This fight isn’t about fitting into their system; it’s about defending our right to govern ourselves on our terms.
