Honestly, somebody should write a mod for Mastodon that covers every post you see with CW.
Problem solved. Of course the loudest ones will say "why should I have to run a plugin? YOU can just as easily CW all your posts for my benefit...."

Now, in case I wasn't clear enough, I don't care what you like any more than you care what I like, but here we are drawing lines in the sand.
You do you, I'll do me, and we'll forget about each other in about 5 minutes and will never interact again for the rest of our natural lives because it's a great big wide world.
Ya know, this whole social norm of telling people you don't know or have never interacted with how to manage their social media is getting old really fast.
I'll block/mute/throw into a black hole anything I feel like for my own mental health and enjoyment of life. Nobody will tell me otherwise because I'm a grown ass adult.
If this is but a taste of what my women friends go through with unsolicited advice and reply-guying its no wonder they're pissed off.

@cemerick I get standard CW for various things. Discussing your job or in Matt's case, what you teach at the university level as a professor? Not so much. It's vastly different from a political Op/Ed rant people go on.
Also the "anything I don't like is politics" comes into play. Just wait till Black twitter (tm) comes over here. wow wee..... gonna be some sparks.
