Recently I completed the Linux Survival course at https://www.linuxsurvival.com/. Highly recommended for anyone new to Linux or even those who have used a #Linux desktop for a while but haven’t interfaced much with the #terminal. You can complete the whole course in just a few hours but it teaches a handful of useful terminal commands.

I couldn't help but smile as @mikahsargent listed off MapleStory among his list of nostalgic internet games/communities on Tech News Weekly this past weekend. It was pretty mind-blowing to me at the time that there was this totally online platforming game where I could talk to other people, emote, and fight in real-time. It's easy to forget, but at the time this was a really magical and fresh concept.

Modded my 8BitDo #switch #arcade stick last night with some nice Seimitsu buttons and joystick. Really loving the clean grey look and responsive feel of the new parts and it really wasn’t too difficult to mod. Anybody out there have success getting #leetmouse drivers to work properly on #LinuxMint 22 Wilma for raw mouse acceleration? When I run the install script included with the #YeetMouse fork it seems to bind the driver to my GameBall trackball, however I am unable to move my mouse cursor on the Y-Axis until I uninstall again. Wondering....has anyone experienced this same issue or not and know a potential workaround? #Linux #MouseAcceleration #Troubleshooting

Decided last week after a terrible #Windows update experience to give #LinuxMint another shot on my main desktop. Happy to report that it's working great so far. My biggest hurdle to fully adopting desktop #Linux was #DaVinciResolve support on my AMD 6800XT. Thanks to @Akzel and their work on davincibox I was able to get Resolve 19.1 Studio working. (yay!) I still have to do some more extensive testing but so far so good! Trying to run Resolve by other methods I was crashing in #Fusion

Anybody out there have success (or failure) stories getting #DaVinciResolve to run on #Linux? I tried running a few distros on my main desktop a few months ago and just couldn't get the Fusion page to load without an immediate crash. Bummer as it's one of the things that have prevented me from going all-in on a Linux desktop. #OpenSUSE #Fedora #LinuxMint
