it has a superb y2k aesthetic both in soundtrack and in its beast-wars looking visuals.
I finally sat down to 1CC it this morning, its a great first 1CC if you're looking to get into the genre (play heaven mode first).

well tonight was a #gradius v night for me. i learned that it was made by treasure (with maybe some help from g.rev?) but i don't know how i never saw that before. the art style is sooooo close to #ikaruga.
damn fine game. best in the gradius series in my mind.
it still hurts putting the retro tag on a #ps2 game... 
There’s a new arcade near Seattle that had their grand opening today.
Lots of exclusive to Japan stuff, including shmups! I went down for a few hours and met up with some old arcade friends I hadn’t seen in a while. It was awesome and pretty busy!
