Working in the Senate on science policy during the during the George W. Bush administration fundamentally changed my career interests & trajectory.

Rather than follow the tenure track as a scientist, I became a writer & journalist, exploring the intersections of science, policy & culture.

Now that I’m back in the same role 20 years later, I can feel that a similar shift is happening for me again.

I’m not quite sure where it will lead yet. But I’m excited to find out.
