So the question: how to make hubs that are/have
* reliable
* trustworthy
* non-exploitative of users
* non-authoritarian (wrt censorship)
* proxy-able
* graceful failover
* graceful obsolescence
* potentially anonymous
* potentially transient
I think in the absence of these considerations, mastodon networks will, as others like @bcrypt have pointed out, tend to consolidate around a few large instances that will have too much trust & reliability burden placed on them.
@dragonluvr89 No because public want uniform glossy flawless vegies but others or the rest of high marges preparation are 'transformed' into soup ... it's what they can't sell otherwise.
Conclusion ? use your blender or buy local production ! you'll get fibers and so satiety -> healthy food. That's why you can eat 3 mac do and still be hungry : no fibers, no satiety :/
