Someone should make a drawing tablet out of those scanning beds they have on top of printers. You could totally track the finger's or pen's darker values against a brighter background cause of its nearsightedness. The scanner would go back and forth following the finger and that movement (and the other axis' value interpreted from the line of pixels the scanner generates) would translate into an on-screen cursor. Wouldn't be able to make it go real fast or anything but theres potential here.
