@mgs I was curious about this — is there a functional difference between "closing" and "minimizing" a window, since iOS/iPadOS usually just suspend everything?
Chiming in on Mastodon for the first time in awhile to say... woof... poor macOS.
@matt does Zen have the same CMD+T command pallette (with the ability to type the name of an open tab to switch to it)? Being able to interface with most browser features from Arc’s CMD+T is one of its biggest strengths, IMO.
@snazzyq For some reason I read this as “time to buy an Ouya”
Absolute war waged on the shadows but notice how too-aggressive default HDR takes the highlights of the neon sign down to zero impact as well - no highs, no lows. All modern smartphone cameras do this now, the Xanax of photography

iPhone 16 Pro Max (2024) vs iPhone 3GS (2009) photography. What do you notice? Both unedited. I personally like the 37mm focal length of an old iPhone.

iOS 18 tip: You can delete Control Center pages, including the music and networking pages. To delete, long press to go into wiggle mode, then remove all widgets from the page you’d like to delete.

If you have only one page, it’s possible to swipe up to dismiss Control Center.

Nilay's review of iPhone 16 Pro on the Verge is fantastic and incredibly detailed on the photo processing front. Worth a read: https://www.theverge.com/24247538/apple-iphone-16-pro-review

And then there's this full comment from Apple’s Jon McCormack on the nature of a photo — truly wonderful:

Apple iPhone 16 Pro review: small camera update, big difference

The new iPhone 16 Pro is a minor improvement over the 15 Pro, but a new camera setting makes for much better photos.

Alt post: how many other details from today’s event could have been better fit into the time it took them to say “the big AirPod headphones now have USB-C and new colors”

I miss when Apple more appropriately played up the significance of their yearly iterations.

It’s definitely not been for awhile, but I sure do miss Steve Jobs’ simple “we think they’re just great” instead of all the ballyhoo they use now to talk about… many already existing features and designs.

@rizzi Congrats! Already loving having my feeds, YouTube subs, and important subreddits all in one place. :)
