The anniversary of Roe v. Wade’s overturning approaches, and we are preparing to mark it as a yahrtzeit –a day of collective mourning for all those who have been harmed grievously by abortion bans--and recommitting to the work of fighting for reproductive freedom for all.

I'm not new to Mastodon, but I just migrated here.

#introduction

I have a wide range of interest and like to learn stuff. I like illustrations and graphic novels (or bande dessinée) and try my hand at it. Currently writing something with aeroplanes and romance.

I try to steer clear of politics but sometimes I can't stay silent in the face of injustice, stupidity and ecological destruction (Capitalism is a dumb model).

I've been clinging to a futile hope that

(a) Mastodon would automatically start to feel natural to me; or

(b) A magical new alternative would appear; or

(c) Twitter would stop its death-spiral into fascism.

Since it's clear none of those are happening, I'm finally going to bite the bullet and leave the Hellsite and commit to posting only here.

If you are so freaked out by merchandise not meant for you like glasses that say "Cheers Queers" and especially swimsuits made for trans women, just shop at Hobby Lobby. Don't threaten Target employees and make up rumors. (And even if the store were selling bathing suits for trans children, so what? It's no one's business if a child is trans except their family's and trans kids are allowed to have swimsuits too.)
