Just watched Hell or High Water. A fine movie released in 2016 which speaks a lot of the desperation and decay at work in many (most?) rural areas of America. Having traveled a lot during the last decade, I've seen it - how once proud small cities and towns are all seemingly barely hanging on. No wonder so many turn to outlaw characters like Tr...p to shatter the powers that be. Not sure what the answer is, but the return of decent jobs to our country and reigning in the rich would help. #USA

So much time, money and attention has been paid to whether or not there was ever life on Mars. Here, the rover has discovered pure sulfur. This, after previously confirming evidence of bodies of water and suggestions of microbial life. For goodness sake, this is just one planet in our own solar system, when there are (billions?) of other solar systems, galaxies, etc. out there. We need to get past this idea we are somehow special. Life is precious, but hardly exclusive to our planet. #godless

OK, you know you're playing too many video games when you see an ordinary object, say, a chair, and immediately consider how it might be scrapped for armor. #fallout #videogames

On a whim, decided to join a local hiking club on what was billed as a 6 mile hike "for all skill levels." It turned into a 9 mile trek thru Hell, up an endless number of hills. A quarter of the way thru I was too lost to quit. What's wrong with you serious walkers and hikers??? I'm sitting down now, but don't know if I can get back up! #hiking #walking
