Today's #museum visit was to the Gedenkort SA-Gefängnis Papestraße: an early example of a concentration camp, run by the SA-Feldpolizei between March and December 1933, in the cellar of a building in the heart of #Berlin (just a few hundred meters from today's Südkreuz station). At least 500 people were held, interrogated and tortured here.
The current #exhibition, "Auftakt des Terrors", does an excellent job of interweaving the histories of the nation, city and individuals.
