@audreytruschke Is there any pattern similar to them in the past. If there, why is it like this?!

Hi @audreytruschke, I have a question regarding recent protest & uprisings.

As we are seeing protest in many countries, most of them were started/headed by women. Or alteast say, they are the first one raise their voice against any atrocities! I remember few revolutions headed by women in the past & now too..also many raising their voice be it in protest or it in the injustice by govt.

So my question is, why I don't see many men as much as women, raising voice against any injustice, initially?

a family can be 8 billion people and a planet

Maybe the disorientation that many people experience as a result of globalization, makes them yearn for a life that reflects the security of their past, breeding nostalgia.
Maybe that inability to cope with a rapidly changing world order is what fuels the insulatory mechanisms of right wing politics of today - making America Great, Brexiting, building Hindu-rahtras and Islamic Caliphates.

Clinging to the past is just fear of an uncertain future.

Here is a thread I composed and posted to Twitter in September 2018. It went kind-of viral. I am rather fond of it myself because you don't often go viral for something you genuinely care about. And this I really care about. Here goes:

As promised, here is my #thread on #Mastodon on popular demand.

I am trying my best to talk on layman language, avoiding too much of technical jargons, so that I can tell you what is this new social media service, how to join, choice of apps, etc.

Below are ten stories that news publications retracted during Modi’s first tenure as the prime minister. Many of these stories did not seem to have editorial fallacies, but showed industrialists deemed to be close to the government and Modi’s fellow members from the Bharatiya Janata Party in poor light—Amit Shah, our home minister features in three of them. I reached out to publications that pulled down the stories, but none replied at the time of publishing.

It isn't even, about one public institution. Its about higher education in India facing tumultuous times. It's about all central universities & technical institutes, who will face this similar situation. Its about denying affordable education to them all, specially deprived ones.
Accumulation of power, wealth, education for the chosen few. Hope, we aren't heading towards the country that talks about privileged ones and strips off the rights of those on the verge.

As a journalist, you are not supposed to be "Neutral" when reporting.

You are supposed to be non-partisan but definitely not Neutral

What is this Hindu activists, Muslim activists & Dalit activists?

Go on dividing more & more. Use ur education for 'intelligent' divisions. You don't know better than that.
