A big part of open source maintainers getting fried is something I've said about running eg forums/IRC servers/fed instances: These are things that used to be part of people's jobs. New halloy IRC client 2026.7 release with a bunch of new cool IRCv3 features! Message replies and redaction; user metadata as in display-name, avatar, pronouns, homepage, color or status; display bot markers for IRC bots; server icons!
