@caseyliss from what I found the AF in the newer cameras is much better than my 10 year old E-M10
@caseyliss I was thinking about doing lens rentals for a weekend and let my wife use it to see what she thinks.

@atpfm #AskATP Upgrading my wife's camera for shooting our kid's youth baseball games. Beginner shooter, close sideline position, daytime only, shoot-and-share JPGs.

Leaning Canon R10 + RF-S 55-210mm two-lens kit (~$1,379 new) for the JPEG color, light weight, and beginner-friendly AF. Sony a6400 + 70-350mm G is the alternative but heavier and more expensive.

I have an Olympus E-M10 on @caseyliss’s recommendation. It works OK but it’s AF is too slow for youth sports.
Any thoughts?

@caseyliss what settings do you use to compress your channels recordings for use in Plex?
@atpfm regarding the overtime segment on phones: I highly recommend https://goaro.com. My wife and I use it and it is a great way to stay off the phone when spending time with the family. When my kids are old enough to have phones we plan to keep all family phones in the box when we are home.

@maddox @caseyliss looking to add a regular YouTube channel like https://youtube.com/@matarmstrongmk2?si=yC-Ojp_RBCSUBo1M as a collection in channels that updates when a new video is posted.

@caseyliss as the resident @getchannels expert, is there a way to get a YouTube channel into Channels DVR as a virtual channel.
@chancehmiller seems like IUP phones are mostly the 25th. My order went through for the 25th but when I went to buy a phone outright it still showed the 19th as the delivery date. Something seems wrong with the IUP orders.

I am trying to connect to local network devices from a homebrew service in MacOS Sequoia.
brew services start evcc-io/tap/evcc

If I run evcc directly from the command line I am able to connect but running as a service it fails to connect. There is not an option in system setting to toggle local network access for homebrew or evcc.io.

Any help would be appreciated
