Finally playing Halo Infintre after waiting on jumping in until I had replayed 1-3 and played 4 and 5.
I’m late to it yes but I still have to say Halo Infinite looks stunning, Master Chief has never looked better nor has he controlled better. This is the best feeling - machanicslly - Halo I’ve ever played. The grappling hook is a PERFECT addition to the move/tool set. The sound design is stunning. My first book of 2022 is completed, finally read Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mytholgy. Got it for Christmas after not shutting up about how good #GodofWarRagnarok was and the Norse mythology that underpins it and wanting to read more of it.
Really enjoyed reading it, paired well with the lingering feelings of beating the the game and was a nice landing pad for all those thoughts and feelings

Canadian journalist Erica Ifill just had her mastodon.online account suspended without explanation. She's been sharing stuff critical of Mastodon re: intersectional issues.
I get the decentralized structure and idea that each server has its own rules. But this Reddit-style moderation, where moderators with god-complexes make mysterious and arbitrary decisions, is going to cause people migrating to Mastodon to flee in droves.
