He/him

Just a lad trying to build a life and a community of friends in Canada while trying to figure out who I am. Dabbles with the internet sometimes. Working towards a career around urban design and planning, enjoys casual photography, and want to learn about everything. Trying to pursue my artistic side more. I stay semi-anonymous on the public web.

Profile photo is a street in Amsterdam during the Festival of Light, banner is a February sunrise over the prairies.

@waldo.net The anti-SpaceX we all needed.
Tons of updates on 'humans on Mars' with every deadline missed and a couple exploding rockets, vs
"Oh hey we did this in case you missed it so that's cool I guess" far sooner than most reasonable estimates
@RichardNairn I hope so! Love non-dry summers

@jon It seems like whenever I see hydrogen fuel as a proposed solution for powering something, I ask them "but why not just use a battery here?" and the answer is almost always something along the lines of not trusting batteries to work.
Bonus points if it's a use case where batteries are already the widespread, commercialized solution.
@eunews Thank you Deutschland for finally attempting to no longer tolerate intolerance.
@rustoleumlove That one video where someone managed to play the U.S. anthem with the motor noises of a bunch of credit card machines could do for now. After all, what's more fitting than using it as a temporary solution you never replace?
@dhritzkiv @reece Corpo-speak bullshit answers drive me up the wall. I have to deal with kids often, it's exactly like when 6 year olds try to use lots of big fancy-sounding words they heard to sound smart without knowing what they mean, in the hopes that their slightly less well-versed peers drop the question 😆
@ruari Fairly accurate but most imperial units are eliminated for younger people. The British flowchart is real.
* a lot of industries use mostly American standards, like for cooking supplies and ovens, to make cross-border trade easier, so some units stay imperial. But even then I know few people who would subject themselves to knowing what an ounce is.
