There are no good genders and there are no bad genders. What there is is helpful and harmful organisations of gender/sexual social existence. And its this we need to fix on the basis of self-id in order to remove gender entitlements and hierarchies.

Both sides of the conflict have certainly committed more than their share of atrocities. But when people talk about an "Israeli-Palestinian conflict" completely divorced from its history and context and start "bothsidesing" it, what they're saying is that it's bad that Israel is illegally occupying Palestine, but it's also bad that Palestinians are resisting the illegal occupation.

This is a ridiculous position.

An open secret of big pharma is that the bulk of their "innovation" is trivial—they're mostly generating analogues to evade patents—and the real breakthroughs are always mostly/entirely government initiated and funded, then handed to private companies for rent-seeking.

It’s rare for the New York Times to acknowledge that a take is so bad that they changed the headline but they did for this one.

Original headline followed by new one.

"If you block ads, then how are websites supposed to make money?"

Frankly, that's not my problem to figure out. I'm not the one trying to work with a trash business model.

Gaiman: " If you really can't figure out which political party or which politician to vote for, just ask if they're on the side of libraries. Are they voting to fund their libraries? Are they voting to keep them free? Then vote for those guys. They're probably the good guys. And by the same token, the book burners, the book banners, they're probably the bad guys."

ā€œI will always be on the side of the librariesā€: A Conversation with Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a fierce supporter of libraries. The author of American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, The Sandman, Coraline, and so many more has had a lifelong love affair with reading. And he credits librarians for fostering his curiosity about books and learning at a young age. Gaiman spoke with I Love Libraries recently about libraries, comic books, book banning in the U.S., movies, and more.
