Getting design involved in Open Source Software is the next hurdle we must solve to speed up OSS pickup speed. This applies to established organisations as well as to hobbyist projects gaining traction.

Due to the nature of OSS development processes and the way OSS projects get started, we can't just use the same approach commercial software uses. We need to rethink the approach.

Open source is picking up real momentum in European public institutions.

Following the pioneering example of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, the city of Berlin has now outlined its own strategy focused on digital sovereignty:

Berlin already has a strong open-source community. The interesting question now is whether we can better connect that community with public institutions. If that happens, this shift could become more than just a strategy paper.

This week we published the Beta version of ReviewWizard, an #AI tool for automating App Store review analysis.

In this post we tell the story of how the idea came to reality 👉 https://medium.com/snapp-ai/automating-app-store-review-analysis-with-ai-d85c8f31ec28

What we wrote about:

/ How we defined the problem before approaching any technical explorations
/ How we prototyped and tested with different AI solutions
/ How we evaluated the AI outputs before building the MVP

Feel free to ping me if you're building LLMs-based tools. I'd be happy to chat! 🙌

I recently worked on some #AI experimental tools with the awesome team at @snappmobile 🤖

We just released one of those tools to the public!

It’s called ReviewWizard and it uses LLMs to extract user insights from App Store reviews.

It's free to use with an Open AI API key.

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

I see a lot of analogies between the tariff battle between EU and China and the war in UA.

In both cases EU leaders failed to foresee the opponent's moves and lost their strategic advantages.

Now they're trying to play catch up and fix the issue but it's gonna be an uphill battle.

Europe’s electric car tariffs sting China but won’t halt BYD’s advance

After months of investigation, the European Union (EU) has announced provisional tariffs on electric vehicles (EV) imported from China, because of what it sees as Beijing’s unfair support for companies that undercut European carmakers.

Maybe "it gets help from Google Assistant" means that it won't do anything for now 🙂

I found the onboarding of the #gemini Android app so cluttered and overloaded with information that I asked Gemini suggestions for improving it.

It looks like it agrees with me 😅

Localisation matters! 🌍

It took me 3 attempts to realise I was inputing my birth date in the wrong way (DD/MM/YYYY).

I was almost about to leave without completing the registration.

Also if I was born on a day ≤12 the system would have accepted a wrong date.
