😶‍🌫️🤩 It's out!
So happy to share a big piece of my PhD work with the world. 🧩

Using human neural #organoids, we investigated corpus callosum agenesis, a disconnection between the two #brain hemispheres. 🧠

What we found was surprising and exciting... Curious? 📃 👇 https://twitter.com/Knoblich_lab/status/1654171097338720256

“📣 Preprint alert! Check out our latest story, led by @catarinacsmc. The corpus callosum safeguards interhemispheric communication in the human brain. 𝘈𝘙𝘐𝘋1𝘉 mutations cause agenesis/absence of the CC. We wanted to know why. 🤓 🧵1/9 https://t.co/RwkEOBpf31”

Warmly received, we educated & conducted free malaria screening.
Sadly, much of the burden of malaria is borne by remote & hard-to-reach comm like Adugyaa.

Cont’d support, education & access to healthcare will be appreciated.

Trip was funded by @VolkswagenSt

Still on #WorldMalariaDay

Our interaction with residents of Adugyaa, a hard-to-reach rural community in the Central region was a memorable one.

Far from any government health facility and located on a hilltop, @WACCBIP_UG bus had to park downhill due to rains and sloppy road.

Every year students at the LMB organise a student-led symposium with a fantastic line-up of speakers, workshops and lots of other fun activities. This year they are partnering up with students at @viennabiocenter. A must attend for ECRs in/around Cambridge! https://twitter.com/LMBPhDSymposium/status/1650508884778385412
