The “Data linked to you” for Threads on the iOS App Store is because they are using Instagram as their authentication service. The two accounts are inexorably linked. If you use IG at all Meta already has this access/info.

Just amazing. Every link blog that links to tweets now just link to a dumb interstitial (unless you happen to be logged in to Twitter on that particular browser — which, if you’re using, say, an RSS reader, you’re not. Or coming from elsewhere, you’re not).

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Slack embeds: broken. iMessage embeds: broken. Tweets now insanely less viral and thus, valued.

So fucking stupid.

An unfortunate decision, but student loan forgiveness doesn’t address the real problem. Tuition costs have exploded in the past few decades. Why we wouldn’t want to educate our populous is beyond me. A college degree should be accessible to anyone who wants one. Education makes America stronger.
