A North Korean honor guard unit attended the May 9, 2026, Victory Day parade in Moscow.
They did not commit suicide.

The diplomatic turnout was also notably diminished with only six notable representatives in attendance: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Sultan Ibrahim of Malaysia, along with representatives from Laos, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the breakaway region of Georgia.
By comparison, approximately 27 heads of state attended the previous year’s event.
