Header photo is a trio of owlets that lived in my backyard a few summers ago. Very photogenic. Since I've had to take up caregiving the opportunities for photography have been few, so I was glad to see them.

@IdahoLark No, I'm afraid I don't get out much these days, my caregiver duties demand I stay at home. Haven't been out to the old property out there in over a year now. My sister moved out there to the old place. It's paid for, she says.

Happy #NationalMuttDay! Mine were either pound puppies or rescues. I never knew what they would grow into, but the mystery is just part of reward for adopting a mixed breed. They all grew up to be the best and most clever and loyal dogs. #dogs #DogsOfMastodon #ShelterDogs #RescueDogs

Pretty much what I've found out on my own - no long term care insurance = no long term care. My wife has advanced MS and I'm at the limits of my ability to care for her, but there are no other (affordable) options.
