When I met @ptvirgo I let him know hard questions take time to answer. And the smartest people with the most empathy, may not go by the book and also may present as scatterbrained. This world is quite confused. It thinks straight lines equal facts and irritation equals run the other way. They're straight and lost and i'm crooked and found.

When met @NikkiM I asked whether empathy is innate or learned. She basically said "yes" and we've been buddies ever since.
Last time we hung out, we were interrupted by a man with social challenges. I tried to politely mask my irritation. Nikki met him with warmth and openness. They had a fun conversation until he declared his love and sped away.
Nikki is a therapist, single-minded in her compassion. Ironically she's also kind of a scatterbrain, but that's another story ...
