Trying mastodon again. In the last couple years I have been teaching myself self hosting and lockpicking. I enjoy board games and archiving things. I have thoughts on things, but rarely ever share them these days. I'm here to change that.

If somebody believes in ACAB but thinks their cop loved one is a good person, they probably would be better off having more people like their loved one being cops, not less.
From a policy standpoint, leftists winning elections depends on reframing the narrative to, "most cops are bastards" or "some cops are bastards." Leftist ideological purity has allowed white nationalists, religious fruitcakes, and other assorted fascists to maintain control over policing for essentially the entire history of the job. By telling "good" people to quit their jobs, we are allowing more and more bad people to fill those positions, which may not harm you or I on a daily basis, but communities absolutely are harmed by this.
The left will not abolish police, or military or intelligence, even if they convince some people to quit. The left needs to infiltrate these positions and fill in the chain of command. That is the only path forward.
