How much is the UK economy being hindered by people being unable to rely on any public transport?

Bristol has just had a huge number of bus routes cancelled at short notice. People had made decisions on where to live based on these bus routes facilitating commuting.

So many people having to wait hours for expensive non-existent trains and buses.

Only a country whipped up by its cynical politicians to fear, resent and misunderstand immigration could have turned the inspirational, opportunity-creating, resource-and-expertise-sharing endeavour that is freedom of movement into something to be rejected and removed from its citizens. And now they pretend a points-based, dog-whistling system will somehow allow our economy to grow. It won’t. The whole debate has become dishonest and demeaning.
