Here's my #introduction: I teach history. Trained in US history & since 1999 I have done the history of capitalism, African American history, food history & geopolitics. My last book, Oceans of Grain (Mar. 2022) argued that the Russian Empire's foreign exchange & global power came mostly from Ukraine, specifically its wheat fields. Putin invaded Ukraine 2 days after the book came out. I have history takes about all of the above.
