@Julie What?! In this economy???
There is something resonating very strongly in my mind right now: No single person or entity, for or non profit should own or fully control the world's public forum. I can't say Mastodon will be the winner but it is a step in the right direction. #twittermigration
@chucker I love Markdown, but this is correct.
@KingShawn I used it years ago but gave up on it for some reason. Maybe it fits the description now. I’ll check back in with it.
@JacobPhD oh, we have a Don. @donmelton
@rynltylr I think something is weird with my account. I have follows who I just don’t see unless I search for them.

Anyone have a _good_ guide to switching instances while keeping as much as possible from the original?

I get that posts don’t migrate, but I find it somewhat absurd that follows don’t transfer, only followers.

When I heard the news that the sale of Twitter went through, I was literally shaking. My family and I have had a rough year health-wise. My wife was diagnosed with Lupus and my 5 year old started having panic attacks out of nowhere that resulted in seizure-like symptoms. We had to up our health insurance premium to $2500 a month (Yay America!) for access to specialists previously not in our network. Then I had a bad crash on my bike where I had a concussion and lost consciousness. (1 of 6)
