I live in the UK, occasionally make art, jigsaws, sometimes I'll attempt to read a book, always listening to music, occasional gardener. Big fan of the telly... helps me sleep.

I'm looking for somewhere to put my thoughts... I used LiveJournal quite a long time ago, and it was great, but after a break, I would like to write again. I don't know if this place is quite the same, but I'll give it a go.

I found a list of drawing prompts this weekend. So I dusted off my pencils. It's been at least 12 years since I've drawn anything! It was a little daunting. The first item in the list is "Draw a bunch of mushrooms". That's open to interpretation. It could mean a bouquet of them, or simply, mushrooms. I drew a simple row of them. And then I kept going. I turned it into a little story with houses, and a wizard. I messed up the moon, but overall quite pleased with it ... #drawing, #drawingprompt,

One of my weather apps says Wednesday will be 40°C and another says 37°C. Not sure which one is correct, but it certainly feels hotter than I like it to be! 🥵

They've decided to close my son's school on Wednesday and Thursday. Lucky buggers... can someone pass this message on to my employers, please? We adults would like those days off, too!

Meet the Neighbourhood Watch.

This is Thor and Loki.

Thor (the tabby) is the boss. He's got such a funny character, and does ridiculous things. Such a poser when the camera comes out.

Loki, is looking very unimpressed, but he is the softest purriest cat ever. He's very timid and goes wherever Thor goes.

It's another rainy day. I have always found the rain soothing. As long as I don't have to be out in the rain, of course. It's a beautiful, gentle rain today. Here are some flowers enjoying the rain in my garden. #therain | My child is being harassed at school by some horrid little fuckers. It's relentless. He told me he dreads going to school, not because of the work or the teachers, but the other students in his class. Yesterday he "fast-walked" (ran, I assume) home to avoid them. #famalam

First post... it's a dreary, wet Monday morning. The cars outside make zooming and sploshing sounds as they speed by. Some happy birds are enjoying a shower. Time to put my music on and dive into the swimming pool of work... but first, I need more coffee!
