Watching #QuantumLeap thirty-five years after its premiere just feels like I missed out on this wonderful show. It came out in my birth year of 1989. As I continue Season 2, I'm connected to how well the writing in each episode stands out, especially being a time travel slice of life series. Seeing Sam solve these situational scenarios is very comforting to me. Like I haven't seen a show like this ever. I'm damn near close to saying that this is becoming a favorite of mine. It fills me with joy.
It's kind of insane that a television series from 1985, forty years ago, #TheEqualizer has 2 concurrent adaptations of the property, one in a film series starring Denzel Washington and the other a television show starring Queen Latifah. I wasn't expecting a resurgence like this. What other properties is like this? Maybe Fantasy Island for a brief period with that film and television series. That's all I can think of.
The funny thing about mentioning Donald P. Bellisario's shows last month is that I started to watch #QuantumLeap for the first time. I'm currently in Season 2. I like it so far. The chemistry between Sam and Al is on point, and the writing for each episode is so great. It's probably the best television writing I've seen in recent years. It's turning to become a new favorite for me. I love time travel, and this fits into my wheelhouse very well thus far.

I realize that I have Donald P. Bellisario's first 3 television series with #MagnumPI, Tales of the Gold Monkey, and #Airwolf on DVD. I'm thinking of watching Magnum P.I. and Airwolf. It'll be neat to see how things aired on #CBS back in the 80s. I need some 80s television in my rotation. ✨️

I also have an alternative place as well for posting on Bluesky. I'll try to post equally at these places. It'll depend on my posts and who's out there. Thanks for following, and hopefully, it'll be a better year in 2025.

Bluesky Social

I feel like #Mastodon is an underrated place for socializing, but there's too much out there. It's too overwhelming for me. I'll occasionally post here, but I have officially switched to #Threads. So, if you want to know where I am, that's where I am at nowadays. Please follow me there if you want to. Thanks so much. I'll pop up in here and there. Peace out. ✌️

Answering the call.

Mastodon isn't perfect.

But the fact a social network exists that is completely free to use

has no venture capital investors

has no shareholders to answer to

has no growth targets

with a web interface with zero tracking cookies

and mobile apps with zero trackers at all

with ten thousand server administrators who donate their time for user safety

is - in my opinion - mindbogglingly cool, given the state of the world we live in. Not everything has to be shit. People make things better.
