The Federalist Society must have data to say that the Maga Republicans under Trump could be be annihilated in the next US GE. That could give the Democrats the supermajorities they need to implement many more liberal policies and make them law. It could lead to new amendments to the Constitution, such as “the right to choose”. Their long incubated conservative agenda could be set back decades.
