Mostly here for jokey #proteomics repartee. Proud Durhamite.
@MattWFoster Serum residue is always there, but if you look at MHC 2 peptides from bovine serum components & the older literature on intracellular concentration of receptor-binding-leads-to-endocytosis transport proteins like transferrin/albumin/ApoB, it is pretty clear that there is a subset of bovine serum proteins that are indicators of this type of transport process.
@RonBeavis Why endocytosis and not whatever is left after washing the cells, poorly or otherwise?
There is too much shit happening in the World these days. We need more cat pictures! Here is a gallery of the 3 cats not named Chip that reside at our house and one who visits regularly. Addy is 11-ish. She likes cat scratcher pads inside of boxes. Smokey is a year younger and likes hanging out with me, especially for afternoon naps. Taupie is a stray tomcat that we fed for several years. He is now living out his days in our basement. Dewey comes by daily for snacks & toy time.

@pwilmart My world’s problems start from cats and then build from there. Aces (asthma flare-up) and Arlo (infected eye, urinate issues, anxiety).

Maybe Chip needs more fiber in his diet???

it must be #caturday somewhere…

About to eat some Trader Joe’s naan that’s a year out of its use by date. OK?
@RonBeavis There’s also the metRS mouse that can be used to tag proteins with azidonorleucine. Can get cell/tissue specific expression using Cre-lox.
Organism-wide, cell-type-specific secretome mapping of exercise training in mice - PubMed

There is a significant interest in identifying blood-borne factors that mediate tissue crosstalk and function as molecular effectors of physical activity. Although past studies have focused on an individual molecule or cell type, the organism-wide secretome response to physical activity has not been …
