@ianbetteridge Who is Dave Winer?

@stufromoz Lovely church, holds 150-200 people, but parking is woeful in that area.

My favourite venue is St Barnabas on Broadway, Excellent accoustics, lovely ( modern) ambience, easy parking nearby.

@stufromoz Bridge Church Rozelle. Excellent series of concerts by a bunch of enthusiastic, professional Muso's .

Wonderful concert this afternoon by the Sydney Cantata Project. #notbach #Buxtehude Great, youthful enthusiasm for old music.
Even after 59 years, some Dutch customs are hard to eradicate.... In the weeks before Easter, you need to listen to the St Matthew Passion by #bach #jsbach
The following performance is special, the last one by conductor Jos van Velthoven (includes inteviews and prelude) and the Nederlandse Bachvereniging

Matthäus-Passion | NPO Start

@cathywilcox Oh Cathy, you have a way with your pen that makes me so sad for our country...
When the world seems to be at an end, there are always Bach's Goldberg variations...
And then, they play it on a couple of guitars! Wow! #bach #GoldbergVariations

For years I thought Cory Doctarow was a bit extreme. But looking at the junkheap pretending to be useful social media:

"The promise of locked-down mobile platforms was that they were going to "just work," without any of the confusing customization options of desktop OSes. It turns out that taking away those confusing customization options was an invitation to every enshittifier to turn the web into an unreadable, extractive, nagging mess"

I agree and going back to using RSS where at all practical.

@sully007 A pen
@sully007 actually... My reason for going sailing was a longing for an uncomplicated life which goes back to basics. Ok... We did have a chart plotter and a VHF radio, but the last thing I wanted was trouble shooting a NMEA network on the high seas....
Anyway, we all find our own compromise. For us, it was a boat large enough to be safe, simple enough to handle single handedly. A place to hide on weekends and the best way to leave work behind.
Edit: Ahhh.... I didn't answer your question, her name was "Te Moana", the Maori name for The Ocean"... Maori = original New Zealand inhabitants.
