I'm a computer geek from way back, especially in the areas of programming, networking and sysadmining. By day, I work in digital accessibility.

Received a late-life diagnosis with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attendtion-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) two years ago, and am still learning about the implications on my life.

Enjoy our household pets - dogs, cats, snakes, frogs and a bearded dragon. Also enjoy astrophotography, Lego

@amandamakepeace For me, the hardest thing in these situations is to be kind to myself. Remember that recovery takes time and has peaks and troughs. Knowing when and what to cut back on is important, and a skill that I struggle with, but have been forced to learn quickly.
@matthras oh, this is the Fedivese. A den of geekery. I’ve asked with a few hash tags, hopefully there will be some answers.
Hey Fediverse, I have a friend with an #Android phone and #hearingAids paired to it. They are looking for a feature like iOS’s Live Listen (https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph8bf9386f5/ios). Does anyone know if it’s possible on Android? #accessibility #a11y
Use iPhone as a remote microphone with Live Listen

On iPhone, stream sound from the microphone to your MFi hearing devices or AirPods.

@matthras That’s annoying. My Android experience is a lot more limited. Sorry I can’t help more. Good luck in your quest and vibe coding.
@matthras iOS might be able to. https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/iphone/iph8bf9386f5/ios I’m not sure if there is a similar function on Android.

@lcamtuf I think this is the shortest horror story I’ve ever read.
@wolfierankin.bsky.social And being amplified by the media...
@robinince Thank you.
@jwz @sundogplanets I’m glad Inread the comments before posting. :) I remember enjoying that in the 90s. Nothing like a good argument about a fictional event.
@dramypsyd our organisation’s compliance training never talks about bribes within the organisation, which seems like a pretty large loophole.
