Bought the 1.4x teleconverter to pair with my 180-600 lens to get some more reach on the Arctic ducks, but there have not been many to photograph at our usual locations.
Today was the perfect weather for the teleconverter, sunny and air temp was close to water temp.
Heat haze off the water just really messes with sharpness, regardless of lens in use, but the further the duck is the more potential for haze.
We've seen so few artic ducks this winter and it's making me sad.
We used to be able to go to the waterfront and hear all the long tailed ducks honking and it's been silent all winter.
