Exactly 14 years ago today—on July 24, 2009—the minimum wage was set at $7.25 while top 1% were worth $5T. Today, billionaire wealth is $45T+, meanwhile the min wage is still $7.25.

This is what generational wage theft looks like. Pay workers. Tax billionaires. #RaiseTheWage

Republican congressman Eli Crane just referred to Black service members **colored people**

In 2023.

In america.

“The military was never intended to be, you know, inclusive. Its strength is not its diversity.”

Something like this used to be career ending. For republicans—it’s a prerequisite

The Biden administration just forgave $39 billion in student debt for more than 800,000 borrowers who have made payments for 20/25 years

Great.

Now can we talk about why 800K people were tricked to rack up $39 BILLION in debt when they were kids?

Why we allow them to be tricked by the promise that maybe, kinda, possibly, one day it’ll pay off?

Or why there are people who have been paying their student debt for 20+ years?

Or why college isn’t free?

Been curious about the age distribution of Mastodon users.

The payments appear to have been made in connection to Thomas’s 2019 Christmas party.” 1/… https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jul/12/clarence-thomas-aide-venmo-payments-lawyers-supreme-court

How did the Final Fantasy 7 remake get so much praise? Combat is such a step down from the original’s turn based, side quests are the worst I’ve seen in a game since AC Odysee, making you re tread the same 5 areas. I’m getting strong Dragon Age 2 vibes from this combat and side quests.

Nostalgia factor is great, it looks cool, but man it doesn’t play well.

First post, probably going to screw this up, don't see how you make a title?

How do you tame scraggly beard hairs? I keep a relatively short box trim, but get these little scraggly hairs that are of a different length when I trim it, and they go off in all kinds of different directions.

Do I take scissors and clip each one, or is there some kind of treatment I should be applying to tame them?

Normally its not a big deal, but I like to apply variously colored wax on occasion and it becomes REALLY noticeable when I do.
