@btanderson @nealr yeah and after looking into it, it appears to be a spat with the romance novel community? Ok, I have a friend who is in that community and they are kind of the worst when it comes to…like, not being *wrong* about the tech-bro nature of platforms but then NOT STARTING THEIR OWN. They did it on Tumblr, and Twitter etc and I’ve told my friend the same thing which is just to start her own platform. It does get tiresome talking to them from that perspective.

@btanderson I was in Uni in the 2000s when I realized this country wasn’t long for surviving. It started as a feeling growing up near Chicago, but after studying how much has been buried, covered up, white people endlessly gaslighting themselves and giving themselves amnesia? Yeah no country or people can survive that.

@shrugdealer that’s what I meant though. I think 2021 was the summer where that shit came to an end and I think a lot of left spaces started to realize how many narcissists we let into leadership positions (huge part of what’s been happening). You may want to check out this transformational justice speaker Kai Cheng Thom. I coordinated a workshop and she talked about this topic specifically and I was so god damned glad she did.

@shrugdealer I mean leftists and conservatives basically…have the same parents when you think about it. The thing is that yes the Left AS A RULE holds itself more accountable then the right and also experiments with new practices in accountability more.
