Fictional character wandering around cyberspace, doing the occasional sweeping.

@GrapheneOS
The only part of your project that I have criticised is your behaviour on social media. Your response to that criticism has been a very clear example of the very behaviour I criticised.

You're not helping your case here.

@GrapheneOS
Please, stop digging. You're in a hole.

@GrapheneOS
Yeah, I know. I've read nearly identical post you've made, dozens of times.

That's why this should be a page on your website that you can link to, and not a wall of text in a post on social media.

That way you can present evidence for your claims in a way that is convenient for your readers, with screenshots and links to archived versions of the original sources. Dropping evidence in a thread on Mastodon is almost completely useless, because it's totally impractical to read.

You don't have to convince me that there are major issues with the security of Murena. I'm convinced already. You also don't need to convince me that people associated with Murena have engaged in abusive behaviour. I'm agnostic about that, and I don't particularly care.

You need to convince me and potential users of GrapheneOS that you can behave professionally enough to be trusted with some of my most sensitive data.

Your behavior on social media doesn't help to convince me of that.

@GrapheneOS

I use and like GrapheneOS. You need to stop posting walls of text in response to anyone mentioning you even slightly critically. It does a lot more damage to your credibility than the criticism ever could.

This behaviour makes you look unhinged, and people generally don't trust products made by unhinged people.

Stop attributing all criticism to malice, stop calling other products scams, and stop posting walls of text. The true motivations of others are unknowable, so don't assume malice. It doesn't help the discussion, and hurts potential relationships. The walls of text are just obnoxious. You have a website, so make a page where you present your argument, and link to it.

Your behaviour on social media is honestly the most important reason why people decide not to use GrapheneOS, and I can't blame them. You act like adolescent bullies, and it's honestly embarrassing.

Additionally, being disproportionately defensive is a common tactic of con artists and other habitual liars when they're at risk of being found out. Your behaviour makes it seem like you're trying to hide something.

I don't think you actually are trying to hide something, you're just very bad at social media, but on the surface those two things look the same.

So please, stop it. You're hurting your own project.

Did the electors choose someone stupid to be emperor again?
@dumbpasswordrules
Might as well put a sign on it saying "We don't sanitize this input, Bobby Tables."
@randahl
Mind boggling that Trump's answer amounted to "What was MBS supposed to do, NOT kill and dismember a journalist who reported critically about his regime?"
@tomstoneham
Even if this decision wasn't made out of ignorance, acting as if it was makes it more likely to get fixed. It allows the company to reverse course without the awkwardness of being accused of malice.
