So, as regards boycotts and of the like, if you are like me, entirely cutting out every company in your ecosystem is likely not sustainable. And as the recent effort showed, a one-day blackout doesn't make an impact. My suggestion is a different kind of diversity, equity and inclusion. Use platforms that are cutting back on DEI, like Amazon, Google and this joint less, and use others that are staying the course more. For example, today I just used eBay to get something that was pushed on Amazon. Same price, free shipping. No reason not to. And ebay also gives you an option to pitch a lower price to sellers along with a comment. I did so with a comment that I didn't want to use Amazon.

@ethannichtern Ryusho Jeffus also taught non-judgmental labeling of arisen emotions - Right Speech that goes all the way back to the Pali Canon. This year has been very difficult, and a real reminder that the Lotus of Awakening grows out of the Mud of our body, mind and emotions, and relations - both externally stimulated and internally arisen. The Wonderous Dharma is not found anywhere outside this world, this body, this spirit, these connections, this stress. 南無妙法蓮華經 Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō
Snoop Dog has a kids’ album (for real, and it’s not bad) which my daughter likes a lot, and I can’t wait til she gets older so I can show her his earlier work.
@mariapopova This conception of God can be correlated to the "Reward Body" of the Buddha. The Buddha also has a Trinity: a Reward Body, a Dharma Body, and an Accommodation or Manifestation Body. The last is the Buddha we know as Siddartha Guatama. The Reward Body has Celestial Marks, but in truth is Openness. The Dharma Body or Law Body are infinite causes and effects of Interdependent Origination. The Three are One - and as we all have Buddha Nature, are not seperate from us
@maiaduerr Thanks! My father was an anthropologist - his second career after his first serving in the Army after WWII.
Interesting #mindfulnessmoment this morning. While eating my daily breakfast of yogurt, fruit, cereal and nuts, I noticed I was shoveling it in. This thought occurred to me: "Why am I shoveling?" On #mindful investigation, I perceived #stress as anxiety in my heart and a burning in my face. I then said of the stress: "This is unpleasant and uncomfortable. Eating distracts me from this. Why don't I just sit with it instead?" So I did, then ate #mindfully, and it was fine. #NamuMyohoRengeKyo

I just presented Art Spiegelman with the National Book Award Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters, on the same day that PENAmerica put out a letter signed by Art and Margaret Atwood and me, among others, protesting the latest round of book bannings.
