If you're plugging a PSU into your pedals;
Make sure you use one with the correct polarity. I'm tire of fixing popped protection diodes after someone used a centre positive PSU on a centre negative pedal.
Use the correct voltage. Too much will fry most pedals.
Use the correct type of voltage - Lots of processor type pedals require AC. Using DC might get you some lights, but it won't work. Using AC on something that needs DC will pop it.
