Been busy, oh so busy and I’ve been trying to find some spare time to get back into fabrication. After fixing my cnc with a new mainboard and test carving on a few substrates I think I’m good with the design now I just need to turn it into the larger panel I had envisioned.

She has figured out if I use this blanket and tuck it in she can wedge and wiggle into it/my legs up to her neck line.

Sometimes she’ll Superman it and flex paws.

EPS vbit test video. Close to useable. 😅

After insulating the warehouse I had/have chunks of EPS foam left overs. Been testing various bits, feeds, and speeds to see if it’s a good medium to play in. Overall it holds up really well but you have to do Conventional cuts and sometimes tools like Vbits or 3d Carves go the other way requiring sanding (which is even messier with EPS.)

I like where it’s heading. Just need time to tune.

Laser offset on #laser and #cncmachines can be helpful for very quick alignments. It's pretty easy to do. Find yourself a crosshair laser and attach it with battery or inline. Burn/Carve a reference point (X), measure the offset of the laser to the center of your reference. Use G91 switches to incremental mode so you only have to enter the difference, G90 switches it back at the end. If you get the values pos/neg mixed up just flip them and you should be good to go.

Enjoyed a dish down the street and its flavor has eluded me but on my hunt for making omurice I’ve gone through a Japanese curry phase and its flavor was there. So—

Beef roast in coconut milk Japanese curry over vegetable stir fry and sushi rice, topped with chili crunch.

So so good.
