Jacquelyn GillI'm grieving Twitter. I've been there for eleven years, and made so many close connections there. Heck, I just won a major science communication award for my work on Twitter. It took a decade to get to >100k followers. It's weird to be starting over again.
Book deals, etc. are affected by social follower counts, so this sort of thing isn't trivial. My outreach isn't the source of my income (thankfully), but it's deeply important to me. And the work continues, but I'll be in my feels for a bit.
